Hi all,
I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I'm new to
the list, and have searched the FAQ's and the web with no
conclusive result. So I thought I'd ask the collctive knowledge.
I want to implement MRTG to monitor a cisco routers
interfaces using encrypted SNMP passwords over the internet
[md5 using snmp v3 or any other method].
I have configured MRTG to generate graphs of the bandwidth
usage correctly, using plain text, normal snmp but now would
like to secure the connection.
Can anyone help me out with resources on how to configure
MRTG and Cisco for encryption?
TIA,
Marcus Nutting
