Hi Trever,

My infraMon environment has some of what you request. You can check it
out in the links below as it may give you some ideas. To keep dynamic
updates I have the following process:

- manually update device file (you do have to keep track of what
devices, but links are updated automatically)
- execute script which builds a more formal devices file
- execute a script which reads devices file and builds link files
- execute a script which builds mrtg configs from new devices/link files
- execute a script to rebuild maps

Put them all in cron and you are automated except for keeping track of a
master device list. Hope this helps.
