[mrtg] monitoring something else and graphing with rrdtool

I would like to monitor a network enabled thermometer.  Enclosed is my 
attempt at a mrtg.cfg.  When I try to view it with mrtg-rrd.cgi there is 
no data there.  rrdtool's dump shows that there are two <ds> values but 
the archives are full of NaN.

Suggestions?
