Is it your english, or my understanding: You mapped a drive from the other
machine to MRTG? Surely you need to do it the other way round, to let MRTG
write data to the other box?

Yes, you can do it (I did for some time, to publish from an old NT
workstation running MRTG to the webserver)
I would recommend you change from Workdir to HtmlDir, ImageDir (both
pointing to the webserver) and Logdir (local drive, on MRTG machine). This
speeds it up (not writing Log file across network) and means that you are
less likely to lose data if your network goes slow.
