That fixed the problem - thank you very much. Looking at the working config 
on the Windows machine I see that in that instance I used an absolute path, 
explaining why it worked there.

*Sigh* When I said at the start of this that the problem was embarrassingly 
easy, I was hoping I was wrong.  :)
