[mrtg] log file overwrite

I'm running MRTG on redhat FC1 and I'm having a problem with MRTG
overwriting the .log file every time the 5minute interval tries to refresh
the stats. So basically I see zero percent usage for everything. Any ideas?
I have checked the file and there is a different number in the log file
after every refresh but its not appending the file...
