[mrtg] WARNING: Expected a number but got 'NaN'

I hope I am not missing anything obvious.

When I attempt to monitor one of our Telco Systems switches, I get the
following message " WARNING: Expected a number but got 'NaN' ".
Searching the list archives revealed that NaN can be generated when an
out of bounds result (too big) is encountered. The number I /can/ get
using snmpwalk is not larger than 4,294,967,295, the largest number the
32 bit ifInOctet and ifOut counters can represent, so this does not
appear to be the case.

This error occurs with the default cfg file generated with cfgmaker, and
when I manually specify the OID in the cfg file. Using snmpget on this
same OID returns a good value. Also, HP Openview is able to plot what I
would interpret as an accurate utilization rate on this interface, so I
know it is working. I have tried using the following settings in the
config, to no avail:

NoMib2: Yes

use_16bit_request_ids     => 0
lenient_source_port_matching => 1

lenient_source_address_matching => 0

.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.9&.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.9:public at 1.2.3.4 This is
the target line I have been using (along with the default line). I can
type in snmpget .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.9 public and it works like a
charm. The value just returned as I type this is 2477027319, then
2541404293 a few seconds later (this is a Gig link running 2 4-6 Mbps
Mpeg 2 streams).

Thanks for any help!
