Cisco has plenty of MIBs that will monitor the traffic on the backplane of a
switch -- go to
http://www.cisco.com/public/sw-center/netmgmt/cmtk/mibs.shtml and find what
MIBs are supported for your switch.

Also you might want to look at the CISCO-ENVMON-MIB to find what you need to
monitor the status of your power supply - see

I read a few articles about the posibility to monitor the status of the
redundant power supplies and the traffic on the backpane of a Catayst
switch.

Can anybody point me to a page or doc that would mention the two OIDs that I
would need for this ?
