[mrtg] Re: Moving from MRTG to RRD

One question regarding the conversion (based on the context of recent discussions).

If you are planning on extending your rrd's to keep more than the default 5 minute points, can you still do this conversion automagically?

I have played with this before, but used the default rrd settings.

If you have to use the default rrd settings, can you "convert" after the fact?

Let MRTG manage it. You'll take a huge performance hit when the log files
are converted to RRD, but after about 30 minutes, everything will calm down.
