[mrtg] MRTG on a machine with 2 ethernet cards

Hi, 
my problem is the following:
I was using mrtg on a windows xp machine to monitor different machine
on the network.
The configuration files were all working well. 
Then I had to add to the machine a second ethernet card (that was
properly configured with ip, etc). Now one configuration files doesn't
work any more (it gives an SNMP error), the other config files still
work great.
I think that the problem is that mrtg now try to access also using the
second ethernet card on the machine, while it should only access
through the first one.
How can I set which ethernet card has to be used? Or should I do
something different? Any ideas?
