[mrtg] CPU Load is too high [Virus checked]

Hello Folks,

i´m running MRTG for approx. 56 Routers. This is a summary of approx. 300
Interfaces plus RouterCPU and Memusage per Router.

I divided these routers in 7 services which describes 7 regions of our
Network (Locations).

All services starts automatically after boot and do their work every 5
minutes. And when they are doing the requests, the cpu load is at 100% for
2-3 Minutes. So i can only work 2 Minutes without heavy troubles.

So is there a solution for my problem? Running the services in Idle-Mode or
something like that?`
Or can i reduce the amount of requests , perhaps multiplex some of them?
