[mrtg] System Monitoring DELL server's

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to monitor a DELL 1550 without the use of the open
sight manager (middleware?).  All I can get is the OID's for network related
items but nothing to do with the actual system.  This is driving me mad, as
I need to implement this using slackware and 2.6 kernel but I cannot use the
dell OMSA because it doesn't compile with newer versions of glibc????

Why have DELL done this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
