[mrtg] Threshold monitoring alert

Hello to all,
Is there any settings or configurations in MRTG that can alert users only ONCE when there is numerous similar threshold breach?

What I mean is that can the user only receive 1 alert even the the threshold breach have been going on for a few hours?
