Ok, that helped a bit. I had to tweak my rrds a little to get them to take
the negative values. Now I just need to see if there is a good reason
mrtg-rrd.cgi isn't giving me anything useful for the Rx graph.

I set the minimum to -100 and the maximum to 50 and now I'm seeing values
in the rrd. Is there a way to set the minimum from the mrtg config?
