[mrtg] Logfile timing parameters

Dear All,
I see that my MRTG server store every 5 minutes the entries for last 2
days, after that, It change the "dalay" storing-time to every 30 minutes..
and so on...
Does it possible change tha "2 days" parameter to "40 days" ?
...I see that this parameter may be changed for "RRD" format...
And I would not like use RRD and/or some own scripts to do that !
Can you help me ??
