[mrtg] OT Bandwithd

Hello Everybody,

Am I allowed to post questions
regarding another bandwidth
monitoring tool that I'm running
on my Linux box called "bandwidthd"?

if "yes" then
    
    What I want to know is,if my monitoring box
    is just another node in the network i.e all traffic
    does not necessarily route through or past it,can
    I expect reliable traffic reports?My interface is
    in promiscuous mode,but I'm not sure if I'm scoring
    all the traffic;
