Pablo,
You don't need the parenthesis at the target line. Make sure all of the targetline is in one line in your config file.
Beside you can check the first lines of the file 10.0.0.79.bytes-mem.log. The first line contains the last result from the target line, the other lines give the values plotted in the graphs.
If the numbers shown on the first line exceed the value you use for MaxBytes the numbers are ignored and your graph stays empty.
Hth,
Jan

Subject: [mrtg] Target with aritmetic expression not working
Hi:
I am trying to use mrtg (2.12.2 on Windows NT Workstation) to monitor W2003 server memory. The server has 512 Mb memory, so I made the following mrtg.cfg file (this is one portion of it)
##### Memory 512 Mb = 536870912 bytes
YLegend[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Bytes
WithPeak[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: ymw
Options[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: growright,gauge,nobanner,noarrow
Target[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]:
(.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.4&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.5:comunity at 10.0.0.79) *
(65536)
##Target[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.4&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.5:comunity at 10.0.0.79
MaxBytes[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: 536870912
Title[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Memory Usage
ShortLegend[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: B
Legend1[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Physical Memory Used
Legend2[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Virtual Memory Used
Legend3[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Max Physical Memory Used
Legend4[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Max Virtual Memory Used
LegendI[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Physical Memory:
LegendO[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: Virtual Memory:
PageTop[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]:
Memory Utilization

The problem is that I get the graph attached form it (it is not getting any value). If I change the target line in the mrtg.cfg and use ..
Target[10.0.0.79.bytes-mem]: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.4&.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.5:comunity at 10.0.0.79
it graphs everything OK (but int # of pages - 64k instead of bytes)
I hope anyone can help me to get the arithmetic expresion work
TIA
Pablo
