[mrtg] Threshold Checking

Since upgrading from MRTG 2.10.15 to 2.12.2 and from RRDTool 1.0.49
to 1.2.11 threshold checking seems to have stopped working.  

Every round of checking MRTG logs the following messages:

2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_44(o) -- No valid current data
2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_45(i) -- No valid current data
2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_45(o) -- No valid current data
2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_46(i) -- No valid current data
2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_46(o) -- No valid current data
2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_47(i) -- No valid current data
2005-12-22 09:24:45 -- WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target
va1fws2_47(o) -- No valid current data

This is just a sample, MRTG seems to produce these warnings for all of
my monitored interfaces.

My threshold configuration is:

ThreshDir: /usr/local/mrtg-2/thresh
ThreshMaxI[_]: 90%
ThreshMaxO[_]: 90%
ThreshProgI[_]: /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/threshprog
ThreshProgO[_]: /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/threshprog
ThreshProgOKI[_]: /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/threshprogok
ThreshProgOKO[_]: /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/threshprogok
SetEnv[_]: EMAIL="mailbox at company.com"

The directory /usr/local/mrtg-2/thresh exists and should be writable to
MRTG.

Can anyone provide any insight into why this is not working?
