[mrtg] Re: CPU & MEM on VMS

Stefan,

First you have to configure SNMP to run on your VMS-system. This will enable the basic oid's for monitoring network traffic.
To add the oid's for CPU, memory etc. you need to install the Insight Manager Agent for your VMS version. With these installed you can also monitor used diskspace, (cpu-) temperature and much more :-)
Put a copy of the new installed MIB-files on your MRTG box and use a MIB-browser to check wich oid's you need to monitor CPU and Memory or whatever you want to graph.
With these you can build a new entry in the MRTG configfile to generate graphs.

A sample config for CPU on a VMS box:
