Dear all ,

I had used mrtg+rrdtool to graph my computer's network traffic and my OS is redhat8.0 and ucd-snmp-4.2.6 .

Firstly I used the cfgmake to create the mrtg.cfg and the Maxbytes is 1250000 (10M bits) , the created graph show the in and out is 10kB average . It is absolutely wrong because my nic is 100Mbits and use another tool to get the more large data than it .

Then I change the Maxbytes to 12500000 (100Mb) and it did nothing !

I use the cmdline as that ,
snmpget -v2c -c public myhostIP public ifSpeed
and i get the 10000000 (10Mb)

    What is the reason ?
It is the problem of snmp or anything else ?

The follow is my computer's configuration:
OS : redhat8.0
SNMP: ucd-snmp-4.2.6
IP : 10.10.30.234 and connect to internet through a router
NIC : Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+
Mrtg: 2.10.15

This is my mrtg.cfg:

libAdd:/usr/local/lib/perl/
Interval:5
LogFormat:rrdtool
Refresh:300
Language:gb2312
WorkDir:/var/www/html/mrtg/
SnmpOptions:retries=>1
LoadMIBs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs/UCD-SNMP-MIB.txt
RunAsDaemon:Yes
PathAdd:/usr/local/bin/

Maxbytes[10.10.30.234_nic]: 12500000
