[mrtg] Polling time interval

Dears all,
I'm running MRTG + rrdTool + routers2.cgi on a Windows 2003 server. MRTG run 
as a windows service. I need to pool my device in a short time interval, 
every 5 second if it's possible. 
How can I configure this ?
I try to set the "interval" variable in my mrtg.cfg file but it's not use 
with the rrdtool.
Is there another solution ?
