You need to give the full path of the mrtg-ping-probe executable. The MRTG
process doesn't know where to look to find it.

Here's a good config for mrtg-ping-probe if you use routers2.cgi. It gives
you a floating bar indicating min/max response time range:

Target[myserver-ping]: `/u01/mrtg/bin/mrtg-ping-probe -p '1000*max/1000*min'
-s myservername`
PageTop[myserver-ping]: Myserver
Title[myserver-ping]: Ping RTT to Myserver
Maxbytes[myserver-ping]: 5000000
AbsMax[myserver-ping]: 10000000
Options[myserver-ping]: gauge
YLegend[myserver-ping]: microseconds
ShortLegend[myserver-ping]: us
LegendO[myserver-ping]: Low:
LegendI[myserver-ping]: High:
Legend1[myserver-ping]: Ping response time range
Legend2[myserver-ping]: Ping response time range
Legend4[myserver-ping]: Peak low response RTT
Legend3[myserver-ping]: Peak high response RTT
routers.cgi*WithPeak[myserver-ping]: none
routers.cgi*Options[myserver-ping]: nomax, nopercent, nototal, fixunit,
scaled
routers.cgi*InOut[myserver-ping]: no
routers.cgi*InCompact[myserver-ping]: no
routers.cgi*Mode[myserver-ping]: range
routers.cgi*Icon[myserver-ping]: clock-sm.gif
routers.cgi*ShortName[myserver-ping]: Response
