[mrtg] Monitoring a "fault-tolerance" bond interface...

Hello all.
Is it correct that when I want to monitor a bonding interface, I get 
that "bond1" interface commented out because "it has speed of 0, which 
has no sense"?
I mean, do I have to monitor both interfaces which are bound to the 
bond1 interface separatedly? Will I always get ZERO traffic on "bond1"?
