I was able to adapt your script to work on a Cisco 3550 switch and it
works well. When I try to adapt it to Cisco 2600 series routers I only
get intermittent bits of data as if to suggest that the router isn't
working. When I do a MIBwalk I can find the 5sec and 5min OID's and they
are reporting data. I would think that the CPU on a router would be just
as busy as the switch, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I am using
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.6.1&.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8.1:communi
ty at X.X.X.X.
Any ideas?

This will work for 5min / 5sec CPU utilization for Cisco Catalyst 2900
switches (most, check any deviation of OID's from different Cisco IOS's-
YMMV)

If you have support access to Cisco use:
 http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Mibbrowser/unity.pl?tab=2

Substitute the proper OID (twice) for mem usage, also adjust target
[target]
and other parameters (Legends and Page Tops, etc) for a mem usage
template.
