[mrtg] Problems with mrtg returning 0

Im using MRTG to monitor IIS on a windows 2000 server box, the problem is the first time the script is run it returns the value fine, then afterwards it always returns 0, even though from a packet capture the win2000 box is returning the right value with no errors. This is happening with multiple items.
