And I assume you're using linux with net-snmp, right?

the only platform on which net-snmpd supports multiple cpus properly is 
solaris. check out the FAQ for net-snmp, it goes into more detail. 
Basically, you only get stats for the first CPU. Which is kind of lame, 
but as always, they say patches are welcome :D
