Sounds as if you are using 16-bit counters when you should be using 32-bit,
and your traffic has hit the magic 100M/5min limit?

Switch to using the 32-bit counters (Use SNMPv2) or drop your polling to
1min intervals.  Instructions for this are in the MRTG documentation.
