[mrtg] Graphs not showing correct data

I used to have MRTG (an older version) running on a windows box.

I just recently moved it over to fedora core 4 on a virtual machine
(VMWARE) running on an HP BL25-p (dual processor, dual core).
I am running the newest stable build of MRTG (2.13.0).

My graphs are showing more data on the link than is possible.  I have
looked at the interface on the 7206 router and it only shows 17Mbps
where the MRTG graph shows more like 27Mbps.

Does anyone have any ideas.
