[mrtg] Outbound Thresholds

Is there a way to generate an e-mail alert when the outbound traffic on the
serial interface of a Cisco router reaches a certain percentage? I am using
mrtg-2.12.2. I have an executable that will send the e-mail notice and I
would like to trigger it when the outbound current traffic reaches 95%.
