[mrtg] Re: Can mrtg calculate only on value?

The config probably includes "noo" (or "noi") for no output (or no input).
Common practice is for single-valued items in scripts to return the same
value twice, and then omit one via noo or noi.

I already do that but I am wondering about the configuration concerning the
CPU usage (unix-like system), where a perl script return the two identical
values, but only the first is graphed. The blue one is not.

Could you explain that?

Simply by leaving the LegendO and Legend2 completely blank on your
config file.

Your perl script will still need to return two values for MRTG to
correctly interpret the output however, but you can just return 0 for
the second parameter.

Scott.

Well, I use a perl script that returns one value (integer)

Probably, I don't use the rddtool but the rateup.

I read the mrtg wants two value the ingoing and the outgoing numbers.

What if I have one value?

If you are wanting someone to tell you how to do do this then we'll need
additional information. How are you creating your graphs? Rateup,
rrdtool
direct, some cgi script.

If you just want someone to answer your question....the answer is yes.
