You have a few choices - multiply the number by 300, change the option to perminute and multiply by 5, or change it to gauge. You'll need to fiddle with the options to get the number to show what you want.

What happens when you query that OID with snmpget? If it is less than 300,
the response you're getting makes sense. Remember that MRTG divides all
responses by 300 to get bytes (or bits) per second - within a 5 minute
window.
