John,

Not getting anything in a graph is probably because your maxbytes vaue is too low for the figure you get in the logfile.

To graph negative numbers you can consider switching to RRD and an frontend that can handle negative values.

If you want to stick to the log file format then can write write some script around snmputil (from the w2k resource kit) that feeds MRTG the positive number (it has to be a postive figure)

A third option is to do some maths inside your MRTG cfg file.
If you substract the number in the logfile from 2^31 you get 68, which could be the value you want to graph. In this case your target line would look like: Target[FDRSSI]: 2147483648-1.3.6.1.4.1.792.6.3.2.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.792.6.3.2.0:public at 192.168.1.116

HTH,

Jan.

OK, so the Options[xxx]: gauge did work to an extent. I am getting something other then -1 -1 in my log, but still no graph. Here is a excerp from the log...

By the way, I'm running on Windows 2000 server. Is there some special utility that needs to be installed to make this work? I remember when I installed ping-probe I needed to have a specific version of ping installed.
