[mrtg] MRTG alerts on Windows

So I've been tasked to get our Windows implementation of MRTG to also
alert me whenever there are spikes in our hourly graph.  I've found
numerous posts for questions about this on google, but have yet to
find a solution, the documentation seems to refer to linux directions
vs the win-nt :|, any help is much appreciated.
