[mrtg] Second newbie question

People,

In hosts file:

192.168.0.1 router.pricom.com.au router

Using:

cfgmaker --global "workdir: /var/www/html/mrtg" --ifref=ip --zero-speed=100000000 --global 'options[_]: growright, bits' public at router

I get:

.
.
### Interface 1 >> Descr: '' | Name: '' | Ip: '' | Eth: '30-78-30-30-30-66-33-64-32-64-32-35-33-30'
###
### The following interface is commented out because:
### * --ifref=ip is not unique for this interface
#
# Target[router_1]: 1:public at router:
# SetEnv[router_1]: MRTG_INT_IP="" MRTG_INT_DESCR=""
.
.

but if I use:

cfgmaker --global "workdir: /var/www/html/mrtg" --zero-speed=100000000 --global 'options[_]: growright, bits' public at router

I sometimes get (other times I get no response):

.
.
### Interface 1 >> Descr: '' | Name: '' | Ip: '' | Eth: '30-78-30-30-30-66-33-64-32-64-32-35-33-30' ###

Target[router_1]: 1:public at router:
SetEnv[router_1]: MRTG_INT_IP="" MRTG_INT_DESCR=""
MaxBytes[router_1]: 12500000
Title[router_1]: Traffic Analysis for 1 --
.
.

Why is this?

Also, when I use cfgmaker for localhost (192.168.0.10) it works fine
with the --ifref=ip switch and also puts values in the Descr, Name and
Ip output fields - why is it doing something different for "router"?

Thanks,

Phil.
