I am surprised - when configuring system with 111 disks I found that the 101. disk must be also doubled in snmpd.conf.

Subject: [mrtg] Disk monitoring problem

Hello,

I have interesting problem with disk monitoring on Solaris 10. In /etc/sma/snmp/snmpd.conf I have configured 5 disks but MRTG sees only 4 of them. I receive two error messages:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SNMP Error:
Received SNMP response with error code
  error status: noSuchName
  index 2 (OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.9.1.9.5) SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "servername" [xx.xx.xx.xx].161)

                    timeout: 2s
                    retries: 5
                    backoff: 1)

ERROR: Target[servername.disk5name][_OUT_] ' $target->[1904]{$mode} ' did not eval into defined data

After adding the first disk twice, all is OK:
disk / 5%
disk / 5%
disk /var 5%
disk /crashfs 5%
disk /export/home 5%
disk /disk5name 5%

It seems that MRTG does not recognize the first disk in snmpd.conf. Does anybody experienced the same problem? I think the first error message applies to system uptime, but it also disappears after adding the first disk twice.

Regards iclcz01
