How would I go about checking this out?

I think the older versions of SNMP_Session did not have the getaddrinfo command, but the later cfgmakers require it. You might have something where you're using a later cfgmaker but an older SNMP_Session?

I just did a full upgrade to mrtg2.16.1 and would think that this should have the latest's SNMP_session and very current mrtg.pm files. Was this a bug in 2.16.1 ?

You need a recent version of cfgmaker, like with MRTG 2.16.2 I think, plus the latest version of SNMP_session and the other mrtg .pm files.
