[mrtg] Spike after mrtg restart.

Hi list,

I am using mrtg version 2.15.0 with rrdtool to create rrd files instead
of logfiles.

I am also using a self made init script that starts and stops mrtg of
particular configuration files when called to do so. MRTG for all
configurations are configured to run on daemon mode.

What I am facing is after each stop start I face spikes on the graphs
later created by rrdtool.I am using rrdtool and my own script to
create the graphs. Any insight,hints or references on why am I having
such spikes would be very much appreciated.
