Normal MRTG will collect data at 5min polling (you can change this if you want), and will display averages when rolling up multiple samples.
If you want to add 95th percentile calculations then you'll need to do this yourself, or use the Routers2 frontend which will do it for you.

Subject: [mrtg] DOUBT ABOUT RTT MEASURE
Hi all…
I have one doubt about how MRTG calculate and generate the graphics, always MRTG use the burstable billing method (five minute sampling and 95% usage when calculating usage)?
It’s possible for example, to generate the RTT graphics using the average method instead of burstable method?
Thanks for your help
