 With the last version of MRTG being released 4 years ago, are there going to be any more updates written that take into account newer versions of dependencies and also 32 or 64 bit OS systems

Is anything broken with the existing version?  That is, if you run it with newer versions of the supporting software does it still work?
As for 64-bit, that should only affect the rateup binary.  You should be able to recompile and have no problems, but if you can get by with rateup then you don’t need a 64-bit machine, since it scales poorly for even moderate size deployments.
