I am attempting to run MRTG for the first time on an Alpha running NT4.

When I type: perl cfgmaker public@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx >mrtg.cfg

I receive the following:

Got Addresses
Got IfTable

When I edit the cfg file which I created the file is empty except the following 4 lines:

# cfgmaker was run with args: public@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
# Add a WorkDir: /some/path line to this file

#---------------------------------------------------------------

None of the device information is present in the cfg file which I created.

I tried running the CONFIGMAKER.PL file from the CONTRIB directory with the following output:

WorkDir: d:\mrtg\pub\www\stats\mrtg
There is no html code pertaining to the device and SNMP information as I would expect.
I am at a loss here and would greatly appreciate some ideas,

I am able to run mrtg with a .cfg file created elsewhere. It works great but I would like to be able to generate .cfg files for other devices.
Thanks
