Hi everybody,
    I am monitoring the input & output error rate & also the input 
& output discards for all the interfaces at my company's router. I 
did this by manually making changes to the mrtg.cfg file. i want 
to know if there is any method by which i can monitor the same by 
specifying OID's to the cfgmaker. Can anybody help me in this.

Can somebody also help me by telling how to generate a mail 
whenever an interface on the router is down.

  i'll be highly obliged if somebody gives me his valuable 
suggestions.
