I'm trying to use mrtg to graph the amount of data on a network (not a rate), and I'm using a script to generate the numbers, but they don't seem to be sticking to the log file. Here are my relevant config options: Options[_]: growright, nopercent, gauge, noinfo Target[data]: `stats.sh data` Title[data]: Data PageTop[data]:

Data

MaxBytes[data]: 9999999999999999 kilo[data]: 1024 YLegend[data]: Bytes ShortLegend[data]: B LegendI[data]:  data: LegendO[data]: Legend1[data]: Data here's an example of `stats.sh data`: 2581275344896 2581275344896 a long time xernet (I realize "a long time" isn't a good value for the uptime, but I was lazy in my scripting, and I understand it's simply a human-readable string :) ) Anyway, this value, 2581275344896, is in bytes, so the graph should show me 2.34 TB. However, the graph remains empty with all values at 0. Here's the first few lines of data.log: 1025227203 2565169217536 2565169217536 1025227203 0 0 0 0 1025226902 0 0 0 0 1025226900 0 0 0 0 1025226600 0 0 0 0 1025226300 0 0 0 0 1025226000 0 0 0 0 1025225700 0 0 0 0 ...and it continues with the 0s. Each time mrtg is run, it returns no errors, and will write the new stats.sh output to the log file, but only at the top line, and the rest of the lines are always left at 0. Perhaps this number is too large for mrtg? I believe I gave it a sufficiently large MaxBytes value. Any help would be much appreciated.
