[rrd-developers] Urgent: How can reuses old locations of my database ??

I know RRD Tool is a technique that works with a fixed amount of data,
and a pointer to the current element.  We can treat the database look
like a circle.  RRDtool works with with Round Robin Databases (RRDs).

But how can we reuse the old locations inside my database?
So that the database will not grow in size and therefore requires no
mainenance.
