[rrd-developers] How to use old interface rrd data on new interface without peak ?

I am having the same problem describe above.

I was thinking to put a command line option, like
"--reset", in tune application to correct this problem.
This option will make a reset counter.

What do you think about it?
Is there another better solution?
Is it make sense?
