[rrd-developers] cross platform rrd format

Folks,

Every now and then someone mentiones interest in implementing an
optional cross platform, binary data format for rrdtool. It seems
that the following library would make this VERY simple indeed ...

http://www.eskimo.com/~miallen/encdec/

we could activate it automagically by autodetecting the format
through the cookie in the rrd header ...

any takers ?
