[rrd-developers] moving from 32bit to 64bit -- any hints

hi.
I'm planning on migrating to a amd-64 from a ia32 and just discovered  
that RRD is complaining that it is a different architecture.

is there a 'easy' way to get RRD to just read ia32 files on the amd64  
machine? I'm not too concerned if it can't read other people's amd64  
RRD files.
so a non-portable solution I would need to maintain myself is OK.
