[rrd-users] RRD 1.06 install problem - can not guess host type

Hi People,

I have been successfully using Mrtg for a while and have decided to give
Rrdtool a try, however when I try to install it on my Redhat-6.0 machine I
get the following error message at the first step after gunzipping and
untaring the package;

[root at node12eab rrdtool-1.0.6]# sh configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type; you
must specify one

I tried it out on another Redhat-6.0 machine that had just been installed
and got exactly the same error message. Any ideas?
