What do you want to measure ?

I have a application that monitor all interfaces for in/out bytes,
pakets, errors, and all routers for cpu load, free/used memory.

This is on 5-600 routers.

My advise is get plenty of I/O power, my HW RAID5 (with 6*18GB 10.000
rpm drives) is 80-90% busy when the data collection run ...

One Unix to rule them all, One Resolver to find them,
One IP to bring them all and in the zone to bind them.
