well to be honest this sounds rather complex to me ... I have been trying to
keep rrdtool as simple as possible ... I think for you 'day average' people
the aproach with the long minimal heartbeat as explained by alex a few mails
ago should be the ideal solution ... except that it uses some more space but
you can shift your daylight saving as often as you wish and best of all no
change in the db format is necessary ...
