		I had the same problem with a graph plotted from 0 to 1000.
It used to mark
		it with 0, 0.5k 1.0k. I managed to fix it by plotting the
graph from 0 to
		999 which made it use the labels 0, 500, 1000. 

		I don't know if this will work for your graph or not, but
try changing the
		scale to run from from 0 to 1999 and see what happens.
